FINAL FORMAT DETAILS
In order to have a festival-quality version of your video, we need you to send in a final copy.
Submit your final version by 2/20/2011 (address below).
Quicktime format (.mov files)
1280×720 frame dimensions preferred. (Definitely not below 720×480)
H.264 codec
8000 kb/s to 10000 kb/s (or alternately, 8 mb/s to 10 mb/s)
2.0 stereo (Preferred. Unless you’re doing surround sound)
2 seconds of black at the beginning of each movie
IF USING FINAL CUT
Here are your step-by-step instructions:
-When finished editing, select “File,” “Export,” then “Using Quicktime Conversion…”
-Under Format, choose “Quicktime Movie,” then select “Options…”
-Select “Settings” and for “Compression Type,” select H.264. Leave the current frame rate settings. Restrict the data rate to 10000 kbits/sec.
-Select “Filter” and choose “None.”
-Select “Size” and choose “Current.”
-Make sure the sound option is checked, and the Render Quality is set to “Best”
-Uncheck “Prepare for Internet Streaming”
-Select “OK,” then save your movie.
FINAL OPTION: YOU HOST THE FILES
Hey, no sweat. We’re flexie. If nothing else, you can host broadcast quality files somewhere reliable and we can download them for the program. We cannot host files, but if you have access to a server, we can make it happen. We can use DropBox for this.
