ALL ABOUT SUBMITTING ON MINIDV
Your final submission should be on miniDV. This document contains further information about that format, and alternate solutions if you are unable to submit on miniDV.
HOW DID YOU SHOOT
If you shot on miniDV than edited on your computer, you just need to put the finalized movie back onto miniDV You may need to read user manual for your editing software to figure it out.
IF YOU DIDN’T SHOOT ON MINIDV
If you don’t have a camera that reads miniDV tapes, you will need to find someone to give you a hand. If your computer doesn’t have a firewire or USB2.0 port, your computer won’t be able to handle it.
NEXT OPTION: DATA FILES
If you can’t go the miniDV route, we need data files on a DVD. This is not a finished, authored DVD. It’s not the kind that could play in a DVD player. Export the highest quality MOV or MPG4 file, check to make sure you can get it to play well, then save it onto a DVD. There is a program called Handbrake that can rip ino MPG4 of very high quality.
