Meet the Jury

Introducing the 2014 Filmed by Bike Jury, the team of honored notables charged with wading through stacks of film submissions to choose this year’s stellar program. The submissions so far this year are good. Really good.

So who do you have to bribe to get your movie into the festival?

(and, yes, bribes are accepted)

Call for Entries

The 12th Annual Filmed by Bike is now accepting submissions for the 2014 festival, which takes place April 19-22 at the Clinton Street Theater in Portland, Oregon.

New this year, submissions are limited to 10 minutes. In the past, submissions were limited to eight minutes. As always, though, shorter is better and our jury favors very short, tightly edited films.

Summertime Bike Documentary Fest

Filmed by Bike is partnering with our friends at NW Documentary for an evening of bike documentaries, beer, live music, a photo booth, Boaz from Pedal Powered Talk Show + more.

It’s kind of like a big-ole summertime party inside the Mission Theater. Because that’s how NW Doc and Filmed by Bike like to hang out together.

Thanks to support from StreetFilms, we’re showcasing three segments of documentary films on different themes. In between each, Boaz will moderate a rapid-fire Speed Q+A – so fast there’s only time for one or two questions from the audience.

We’ll keep you on your toes and inspired as we showcase what’s happening in biking culture, art and infrastructure all around the globe – and discussing how it all relates to PDX.

You won’t want to miss this bicycle themed variety show extravaganza.

This program is part of NW Doc and POW Fest’s Documentary Summer Series at the Mission Theater.

McMenamins Mission Theater, 1624 NW Glisan
Sunday, 8/25, show starts at 6pm!
Tickets: $7 – Minors allowed with parent/guardian
