Live Talk/Workshop: Filmmaking for the BIPoC Community (Free)

Saturday, September 12
2:00 pm Pacific Time (5:00 pm EST)

Hosted by The People’s Bike Mayor of NYC Courtney Williams of The Brown Bike Girl Consulting who is also a 2020 Filmed by Bike Juror

About the Workshop

This workshop was created to support BIPOC aspiring filmmakers looking for tips on how to begin their filmmaking journeys. Courtney will be chatting with BIPOC industry professionals who will offer their insights to demystify the filmmaking and festival submission processes. While we are a bicycle-centered film festival, this workshop is geared towards general film and video-making. We are offering this workshop in conjunction with our brand new BIPOC Filmmaker Grant Program.

No one will be turned away but if you do not identify as Black, Indigenous or a Person of Color, we kindly request that you simply listen to the conversation and make space for other voices to ask questions in the comments. You may also want to consider making a donation to our new BIPOC Filmmaking Grant program to support our efforts to help emerging BIPOC Filmmakers tell their bicycle stories.
